Lead a High-Performing Team in National Accounts
Scotiabank is seeking a driven and experienced National Accounts Director to manage a portfolio of complex clients within our Commercial Banking division. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships, drive business growth, and contribute to the success of one of Canada's leading financial institutions.
Accountabilities:- Cultivate a customer-centric culture within your team, fostering deep client relationships and leveraging the Bank's extensive resources and expertise.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to maximize business development opportunities and drive sustainable growth for the National Accounts portfolio in your assigned market area.
- Identify and pursue new prospects through internal and external networks, analyzing market data and customer analytics to prioritize high-potential opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with lending and deposit specialists to provide integrated financial solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Negotiate and structure loan agreements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and risk management policies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Commercial Bank's objectives, strategies, and product offerings to effectively position Scotiabank as a trusted financial partner.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in commercial banking, with a deep understanding of the Canadian market landscape.
- Expert knowledge of the assigned market area's key prospects, major companies, and competitive dynamics.
- Strong analytical and credit assessment skills, enabling you to effectively evaluate client financial health and risk profiles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant commercial systems.
- Undergraduate degree in business or economics (or equivalent work experience).
