Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Veerji Fish 'n' Grill. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that our menu offerings are diverse and appealing to our customers.

Food Preparation and Cooking

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.

Kitchen Operations Management

Manage kitchen operations, including requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and records, and ensuring that our kitchen and food service areas are clean and well-maintained.

Staff Training and Development

Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that our team members have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
