Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sotera Health. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of Industrial Irradiator projects, from initial concept to final commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, manufacturing, and installation processes for Industrial Irradiators
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to designers, engineers, technologists, and suppliers
  • Maintain project timelines and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency
  • Engage in international travel to customer sites for project installations and supervision

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree with professional certification (PEng) or ability to obtain certification
  • Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on industrial experience in mechanical engineering and project management
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or equivalent software for design and modeling
  • Proven project management skills and mechanical design expertise

Additional Requirements:

  • Training Requirement: Complete all mandatory training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker
  • International Travel Capability: Ability to travel internationally as needed for project installations and supervision
  • Background Verification: Background verification, including FBI fingerprinting, to uphold security measures and ensure suitability for the position
