About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Compassion. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for clients.
  • Mend clothing and linens as needed, ensuring clients have a steady supply of clean and comfortable clothing.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring clients maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to nutritious meals and essential items.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nursing or social work.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a caregiving role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
