About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Barry Glotman. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Assist with Exercise: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and well-being.
  • Clothing and Linen Care: Mend clothing and linens to ensure clients have clean and comfortable living conditions.
  • Therapeutic Diets and Menus: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that cater to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve meals to clients in a safe and hygienic manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Site Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
