About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at 1571717 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, and business services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Develop and manage purchase orders for equipment, materials, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring fair terms and conditions that meet the company's needs.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality and delivery standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control costs associated with procurement, ensuring budgetary compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in procurement software and systems.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 32 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
