Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our EHS management system, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations, and driving a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a team of EHS professionals to support actions and meet site and company EHS goals and compliance obligations.
  • Conduct workplace surveys, safety audits, and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive Operational Excellence activities across the business, focusing on EHS and sustainability.
  • Provide EHS briefings and training sessions to employees to foster a safe working environment.
  • Lead EHS committees and engage employees to take ownership of EHS.
  • Use problem-solving skills and risk assessments to investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of occupational health and safety and environmental regulations and practices.
  • Experience developing and authoring risk assessments, policies, and training programs.
  • Leadership capability to guide teams and drive change.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EHS-related professional accreditations.
  • Experience in Canada and Ontario EHS regulatory requirements.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience using and leveraging EHS common tools and systems, such as Gensuite.
