We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Stikine Health Centre.
Job DescriptionAs a Primary Care Nurse, you will function as a member of the interprofessional team and apply best practices to provide competent, safe and ethical care for people and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools and communities.
The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care and services to individuals, groups and communities, and will be responsible for clinical follow up according to the person's primary Care Plan and the person's personal goals of care.
We offer a comprehensive benefit package, including MSP, extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees. Casuals have the option of paying for benefits.
Additionally, we offer four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service, financial support for moving expenses, employee referral program, employer-paid training and leadership development opportunities, and loan forgiveness programs for eligible professions.

Requirements- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant (BCCNM)
- Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area as required by the position
- Assessment and Intervention - Demonstrated ability to complete initial and ongoing client assessments and provide nursing care through appropriate interventions
- Communication - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff and the members of the interdisciplinary team
- Critical Thinking - Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve effectively
- Human Caring and Relationship Centered Practice - Ability to promote client-focused care that demonstrates care for and with clients and significant others
- Teaching - Ability to transmit information intended to instruct clients and others about topics essential to health care and well-being
- Management - Manages time and resources, implementing activities to promote cooperation among relevant others
- Leadership - Promotes staff morale, cooperation, assertiveness and risk-taking, creative planning for change and innovations
- Knowledge Integration - Using factual information, prior learning and basic principles and procedures to support decisions and actions with relevant research-based evidence
