Project Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tunnel Estimator to join our team assigned to the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating costs for tunneling and underground construction projects, utilizing Hard Dollar estimating software to ensure precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
  • Support the procurement process by obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Manage the handover process upon project award
  • Contribute to project success and learning through effective communication and collaboration
  • Assist with post-bid and post-project analysis completion and facilitate associated learning and communication
  • Adhere to the project's risk management policies and procedures
  • Foster positive relationships with Clients, Consultants, and key subcontractors
  • Maintain the estimation data systems to ensure they are up-to-date
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • ~5–10 years of progressive estimating experience in civil construction, track, buildings, or related disciplines
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the rail and transit industry environment is advantageous
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access) is essential
  • Experience with estimating software, particularly Hard Dollar, is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building positive working relationships
  • Understanding of site conditions impacting bid costs and constructability
  • Familiarity with various types of construction contracts, including cost-reimbursable, Target, and Guaranteed Maximum Price
