Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary:

Eminent College is seeking a highly organized and personable Front Desk Receptionist to manage our reception area and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires a professional demeanor, strong multitasking abilities, and a commitment to supporting our educational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Greet and welcome students, clients, staff, and visitors warmly and professionally.
    • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the college's programs, services, and schedules.
    • Address student and client concerns or complaints efficiently, directing them to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Ensure the front desk is tidy and presentable with all necessary materials (e.g., pens, forms, brochures).
    • Schedule and confirm appointments for students and clients.
    • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, client appointments, and other relevant data.
    • Assist with student enrollment and orientation processes.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
    • Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Communication:
    • Effectively communicate with students, staff, and faculty members regarding schedules, events, and other relevant information.
    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of newsletters, flyers, and other communications.
  • Support Services:
    • Provide administrative support to staff and faculty as needed.
    • Assist in organizing college events, workshops, and seminars.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration or customer service is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role, preferably in an educational or beauty industry setting.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment (e.g., fax machines, printers).
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Basic understanding of financial transactions and record-keeping.

Working Conditions:

The position is performed in a college environment.

Regular working hours with occasional evenings or weekends as needed for college events or special occasions.
