We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team at Polytainers. As a key member of our Operations Leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our planning functions, including demand planning, supply planning, and production scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and execute planning processes that meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics to enhance forecasting accuracy and optimize inventory levels.
- Manage short, medium, and long-term capacity plans to determine inventory, sourcing, and intercompany strategy by facility.
- Develop and recommend CAPEX plans to ensure service, growth, and cost objectives are met in annual budgeting processes.
- Establish inventory optimization strategies and monitor inventory levels for WIP and FG stock to minimize carrying costs, mitigate obsolescence, and ensure product availability.
- Optimize production schedules to drive manufacturing efficiency and customer service.
- Foster close relationships with associated departments, including Procurement, CS, Sales, Quality, Operations, and Finance, and represent the Planning function at key business meetings.
- BS/BA degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, forecasting, scheduling, and/or S&OP in a fast-paced, high-volume, Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Strong PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and MRP/ERP systems.
- Proven track record of working with people, problem resolution, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Agile, proactive, and results-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to anticipate and handle challenging situations effectively, seeking input and involving others when possible.
- Outstanding interpersonal and people management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement solutions at a tactical level.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
