Job Summary

Siegbert Steel Inc is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Labourer to join our team. As a Metal Fabrication Labourer, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, assisting structural steel and platework fitters, and performing various tasks related to metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Assist Structural Steel and Platework Fitters: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in various tasks.
  • Perform Various Tasks: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials; grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools; and clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Read and Interpret Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks as required by the job.
  • Manual Dexterity: Demonstrate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure quality work and meet company standards.
  • Work Term: Work on a permanent basis.
  • Work Language: Work in English.
  • Hours: Work 35 hours per week.
