Job Title: Metal Products Inspection and Testing Foreman/Woman

Riverside Brass & Aluminum Foundry Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Products Inspection and Testing Foreman/Woman to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inspection and testing of metal products, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with a secondary school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Work Environment:

The work site environment is noisy, dusty, and hot, with odours present. The work setting is in an urban area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit reports on inspection and testing results
  • Establish work schedules and oversee the safety of operations
  • Train or arrange for training of staff
  • Recommend personnel actions and set up machines and equipment
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Supervise, co-ordinate, and schedule activities of workers
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Supervision:

The successful candidate will supervise 16-20 people, including forging machine operators, mechanical assemblers and inspectors, metal products machine operators, and metalworking machine operators.

Security and Safety:

A basic security clearance and criminal record check are required.

Transportation/Travel Information:

A valid driver's licence is required, and public transportation is available. The use of an own vehicle is also acceptable.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The successful candidate must be able to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and combine sitting, standing, and walking.
