The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as an Environmental Reclamation Student. This exciting opportunity will provide you with hands-on experience in reclamation fieldwork, working alongside industry-leading professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys and collect data using electronic data collection methods
  • Monitor reclamation operations and assist in the preparation of soils and vegetation data for reporting
  • Collaborate with the Environment team to monitor wildlife, surface and ground water, and eradicate noxious weeds
  • Utilize ArcGIS remote applications such as Field Maps and Survey 123 to collect and analyze data
  • Assist in the generation of supporting data and forms for regulatory application submissions, reports, and publications
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year or Master program in Land Reclamation, Forestry, Environmental, Biology, or Natural Science
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract
  • Physically able to handle the rigors of fieldwork
  • Previous experience in reclamation fieldwork is an asset
