Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Travellers Motel. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
