About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at 10141289 Manitoba Ltd O/A KFC. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Special Dietary Requirements: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in planning and executing menu items, including special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Hygiene: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and physical stamina to perform kitchen duties.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and time management skills.
