Job Title: Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at North Shore Animal Hospital in North Vancouver, BC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinary staff with tasks and treatments
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for clients and their pets
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
  • Answer phone calls, book appointments, and manage email correspondence
  • Admit and discharge pet patients, process payments, and create estimates
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients
Requirements:
  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Compassion and nurturing attitude towards animals and their owners
