Production Manager

The Opportunity:
The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing facilities, overseeing the afternoon shift with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety. As a leader, you will inspire your team to deliver exceptional results, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Your expertise in Good Manufacturing Practices and ability to problem-solve will drive results and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality standards, assign tasks, and prioritize production to meet objectives.
- Supervise production employees, achieve production targets, and implement manufacturing procedures in accordance with legislation.
- Exercise timely and good judgment in day-to-day business decisions, taking initiative to drive results.
- Maintain a safe working environment, educating employees on equipment use and resources while ensuring compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, and MOL work orders.
- Reduce workplace accidents, assist in investigations, and participate in WSIB case management for early and safe return of injured workers.
- Develop, direct, manage, train, and motivate employees, communicating job expectations and appraising results.
- Administer company policies and procedures, recognizing and supporting the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement.
Requirements:
- Secondary school education.
- Previous production experience.
- Proven leadership skills and initiative.
- Continuous learner, willing to adapt to change and drive results.
- Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
- Good math skills for daily production counts.
- Ability to problem-solve and take calculated risks.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other necessary software applications.
