About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Follow The Child Daycare Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Learning
    • Assess children's developmental needs and create personalized learning plans to support their growth.
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Childcare and Support
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical needs are met.
    • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Program Planning and Execution
    • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
    • Lead activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, to encourage creativity and engagement.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive environment.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of all children.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Submit written observations and reports to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in early childhood education.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Punctuality and dependability.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to multitask.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
