Facilities Project Manager

This is a permanent position working 75 hours biweekly.
The Department of Education is seeking a talented individual to join the Operations team as a Facilities Project Manager.
About the RoleThe Facilities Project Manager is responsible for the planning, development, and capital maintenance of all physical facilities and related equipment and grounds required for the effective operation of Public Schools programs throughout the Territory.
This position is also responsible for health and safety matters of the facilities and/or concerns caused by equipment within the facilities.
Essential Qualifications- Significant experience in contract management and procurement methodology
- Experience working with contractors scoping out work and negotiating quotes
- Experience managing major projects, including estimating, budgeting, and management of human, financial and material resources;
- Recent experience tracking and updating project status
- Post-secondary education in architecture, engineering or related discipline would be considered an asset.
The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications, skills and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture.
