Are you eager to kickstart your career in Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising? We are seeking a Marketing Co-op to contribute to our initiatives at Thinkific.

As the Marketing Co-op at Thinkific, you will engage in an 8-month co-op work term designed to cultivate expertise in B2B and B2C SaaS marketing. Reporting to our Marketing Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in executing marketing strategies across the organization. This encompasses brainstorming, implementing, and analyzing results. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about learning project management, establishing operational processes, and supporting paid advertising campaigns. A candidate who not only grasps theoretical concepts but is also keen to apply them in real-world scenarios.

Your primary objective will be to assist the Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising teams in both strategic planning and execution. Here’s how you will achieve this:

  • Facilitate the rollout of go-to-market strategies, including product feature launches, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Aid in email list segmentation, automation, and report generation.
  • Support the ideation, testing, documentation, and implementation of new processes.
  • Conduct data cleanup and maintenance (leads, customers, and campaigns), ensuring data integrity in the CRM.
  • Perform keyword research to identify high-performing keywords.
  • Conduct regular analysis of search terms to drive relevant traffic and identify new keyword opportunities.
  • Execute competitor analysis to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of ad copy.
  • Update and manage advertisements, videos, and ad copy for campaigns.
  • Help prepare reports on campaign performance.

The ideal candidate will likely possess the following qualities:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a marketing-related field.
  • Eager to explore new ideas and enjoys experimenting with innovative processes and technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Asana, Unbounce, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Looker.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain organized amidst competing priorities.
  • Interest in data analysis, deriving actionable insights, creating reports, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with various team members.
  • Innovative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of Digital Marketing concepts and a desire to expand marketing knowledge.
  • Passion for learning and personal growth, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills in this field.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Previous professional experience in a marketing or project management capacity.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Slack, and any email automation tools.
  • Prior experience or internship in digital marketing or PPC.
  • Google Ads certifications.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics / GA4.
  • Creativity in crafting engaging ad copy.

Compensation and Benefits:

The recruitment compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 CAD, determined based on job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and internal equity assessment.
