Intermediate Healthcare Planner

B+H Architects is seeking an experienced Intermediate Healthcare Planner to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Healthcare Architecture and Interior Design team, you will play a crucial role in delivering large-scale healthcare projects in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the deliverables for the medical planning team within the project schedule
  • Lead the medical planning process to create department floor plan concepts reflective of operations
  • Provide expertise on institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on planning issues
  • Understand and guide discussions on medical equipment needs
  • Coordinate all disciplines related to building design and health planning
  • Prepare health planning presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives
  • Provide planning, design, and coordination support on projects and pursuits
  • Mentor junior team members in health planning practices
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in healthcare planning
  • Clear understanding of institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments
  • Clear understanding of applicable codes and building construction systems, materials, and standards
  • Understanding of healthcare trends
  • Strong computer skills (REVIT, MS Office Suite, Blue Beam)
