Position Overview
The Student IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of information technology systems, enabling end users to effectively perform their tasks. This position involves utilizing diagnostic tools and help request tracking systems, as well as providing in-person, hands-on assistance at the desktop level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-contact support for incoming service requests via telephone, web portal, email, and chat, ensuring a courteous, timely, and effective resolution of user issues.
  • Prioritize incidents and service requests in accordance with established processes to meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Document and escalate incidents to the appropriate technician when necessary.
  • Employ remote tools and diagnostic utilities to facilitate troubleshooting.
  • Verify fixes to confirm that incidents have been adequately resolved.
  • Notify management of emerging trends in incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic PC hardware.
  • Experience with MS-Windows 10 desktop and server operating systems.
