Position Overview:

As a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of various process enhancement initiatives and other projects aligned with the PMO's strategic objectives. This role requires a proactive approach in guiding and supporting functional teams to ensure timely completion of project deliverables while adhering to organizational goals and best practices in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a reference point for the adoption of project management best practices and PMO tools, fostering their utilization and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Collaborate with project owners to define and execute the project charter.
  • Develop comprehensive project management plans, detailing all activities and resource allocations, and validate them with stakeholders.
  • Implement the project management plan, ensuring alignment with the interests of both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and engage the project team and stakeholders effectively.
  • Apply best practices across all PMBOK knowledge areas.
  • Facilitate project team meetings and enhance cross-functional communication and decision-making processes.
  • Provide training to stakeholders on project implementation methodologies and associated tools.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate updates, and document relevant information.
  • Ensure proper project closure and capture lessons learned for future reference.
  • Assist internal clients in utilizing the Project Management methodology and PMO tools.
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple projects.

Qualifications:

  • Formal education in project management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience in real estate project management, mergers and acquisitions, or process improvement is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both oral and written formats, proficient in French and English.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Green belt/Black belt certification is a plus.
  • PMI certification and familiarity with PMBOK are beneficial.
  • Thorough understanding of Lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and mobilize cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to maintain a broad perspective while being detail-oriented.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
