About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team at Chezranti Community Centre Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Program Development: Design and deliver specialized rehabilitation programs, including life skills workshops, substance abuse treatment, and behaviour management initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with other social services agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs, develop intervention logic models, and measure program effectiveness.
  • Client Support: Provide individual and group counseling sessions, accompany clients to appointments, and offer mentoring and guidance as needed.
  • Program Administration: Manage program statistics, maintain records, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in child welfare or social services.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong attention to detail.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, and to prioritize tasks effectively.
