Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at O-Sho Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train our staff in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that our inventory is managed effectively to minimize waste and optimize our purchasing.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that our food and service meet the highest standards of quality, and that our customers receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.

Prepare Budgets and Reports

Prepare budgets and cost estimates, and submit reports to management on a regular basis to ensure that our operations are running efficiently and effectively.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and work with our staff to resolve any issues that may arise.

Maintain Records

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and use this information to inform our purchasing and inventory management decisions.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.

Work Setting

Restaurant experience is required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and physically demanding work are required.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and team player are essential.
