About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Royal Leaf Painting Inc. as a key member of our painting and decorating crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish and optimal paint adhesion.
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings to create a seamless finish.
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert recommendations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of their spaces.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, meeting the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Work Environment

As a Painter and Decorator with Royal Leaf Painting Inc., you will work in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial settings. You will be required to travel to different sites, and may be asked to relocate for specific projects.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting and decorating.
  • Ability to work outdoors, underground, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment required.
