Your Role

We are currently in search of a skilled Estimator to join our Windsor office. In this role, you will oversee the complete estimating and tendering process, which includes preparing Requests for Quotation, budgeting, conducting take-offs, soliciting quotes, liaising with subcontractors, and thoroughly reviewing construction documents. A comprehensive understanding of tender documents and related estimating tasks is essential. Your goal will be to ensure that each project is completed within the designated time frame and budget, supporting the sustainable growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster effective relationships with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Compile estimates by collecting proposals, drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.
  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine costs.
  • Interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings as necessary.
  • Present estimates by organizing and displaying numerical and descriptive data.
  • Manage workload effectively while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel within Ontario.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction project management.
  • A degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • Strong professional communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
