Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 945935 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our culinary department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient preparation and portioning of food.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide guidance and training to staff members on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Communication: Prepare food order summaries for the chef and maintain open communication with kitchen staff.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods and interacting with kitchen staff and customers.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people, including kitchen and food service helpers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
