Island Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide inpatient and community consultation services to patients on Salt Spring Island.
- Offer outpatient treatment at Salt Spring Island Community Services, including consultation to Severe and Chronically Mentally Ill, Urgent Short Term Assessment and Treatment, and Drug and Alcohol programs.
- Provide general Psychiatry services to adults in the community, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Qualified psychiatrist with experience in practicing in a small community.
- Comfortable working in a setting with limited psychiatric infrastructure.
- Strong psychological mindedness, self-reflective capacity, and working understanding of boundaries.
