About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Marcantonio Designs Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare and Install Wood Structures: Prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality wood structures.
  • Supervise and Instruct: Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Maintain and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial and industrial establishments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Work Setting: Commercial and industrial settings.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and meet tight deadlines.
