Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Operations Supervisor to oversee our kitchen staff and ensure the highest standards of food preparation and service at Gateway to India Restaurant. This role is vital in maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 35 to 45 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Work Environment
  • Setting: Food service establishment in an urban area
Key Responsibilities
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for kitchen operations
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns
  • Manage kitchen operations and staff effectively
  • Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas
  • Prepare and cook special meals as per dietary requirements
  • Ensure dishes are prepared for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and work areas
  • Keep inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for meal preparation
Supervision

Responsible for supervising 1 to 2 kitchen staff.

Cuisine Specialties

Specializing in East Indian cuisine.

Transportation

Public transportation options are available for staff.
