Our team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to providing the highest levels of safety and adherence for individuals with complex medication regimes.

Job Summary

The Dispensary Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care. This role requires a high level of fluency in both written and spoken English, as well as excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, and timely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues surrounding day-to-day work functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients.
  • Communicate with the resident care team while maintaining professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and complete resident health records.
  • Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in the training and support of newly hired and existing pharmacy team members.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education to remain current in pharmaceutical, medical, and professional licensing information.

Requirements

  • Current licensure in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A).
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of Kroll Windows application.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and able to prioritize appropriately.
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Previous long-term care pharmacy experience.
