Job Title: Technical Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Supply Chain Manager to join our team at BC Ferries. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our supply chain and procure-to-pay applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical ownership and roadmap for supply chain management and procure-to-pay applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of applications, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Drive integration efforts between supply chain systems, procurement tools, and other enterprise applications to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and implement best practices in application development, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor system performance and security, proactively addressing issues and implementing enhancements to optimize application performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to application support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Application Owner or similar role with a focus on supply chain and procure-to-pay applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management processes, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor management.
  • Capable of analyzing requirements and translating them into practical solutions.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and/or IBM Maximo, including setup, customization, and integration.
  • Experience with procurement tools such as Coupa or Ariba would be an asset.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing IT initiatives including Oracle EBS or Maximo implementations and upgrades.
  • Minimum 3 complete and successful implementation projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficient in creating clear documentation for system configurations and user training.
  • Proficiency in using PL/SQL, Unix Shell, and development tools, as well as adhering to relevant coding standards necessary for application development.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle cloud applications, RPA, AI and/or APEX would be an asset.
