DevOps Engineer for Gaming Infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partner teams to assess feasibility and applicability of new requests, ensuring alignment with team priorities.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for deployment issues, connectivity challenges, performance bottlenecks, and service outages.
  • Develop innovative tools and automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks and enhance team efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems configurations, procedures, and runbooks to support live operations and incident resolution.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and optimization of a robust and scalable gaming server infrastructure.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for feature launches, live events, and critical escalations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported from production environments and live services operations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to identify opportunities for improving team efficiency and platform capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a global team to implement new technologies and provide support within a follow-the-sun model.
  • Partner closely with development, QA, operations, IT, and external hosting providers to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the gaming infrastructure.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with public cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP), including design, implementation, and operational support of critical systems.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies:
    • Container workload technologies: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker
    • Configuration management systems: Chef, Ansible
    • Monitoring/observability systems: Prometheus, Grafana
    • Pipeline automation systems: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub
  • Experience developing automated solutions using Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • Working knowledge of Git for version control.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
