Job Summary

Mountain West Roofing Inc. is seeking a skilled Roofing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will assist in various aspects of roofing and construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to job sites.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced crew members.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Participate in routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and direct traffic at or near construction sites as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights, underground, and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various locations, including outdoors, in noisy and dusty environments, and in cold or hot temperatures.
