Senior Financial Accountant

The Role
The Senior Accountant (SA) will engage with the corporate accounting team to facilitate various accounting, consolidation, internal reporting, and analytical functions.
The SA will play a crucial role in the accounting cycle, offering support to the Global Finance team and aiding in accounting and financial reporting tasks.
The SA will participate in diverse projects that bolster the function as a whole.Key Responsibilities
Support the monthly closing process:
- Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly internal reporting packages, including analysis of significant fluctuations and trends in the balance sheet and income statement to ensure the accuracy of consolidated results.
- Conduct an analytical review of financial results at period-end.
- Compile documentation to support analytical reviews.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, promoting best practices with Accounting Services to ensure proper accounting and controls are established.
- Prepare/review and upload journal entries.
- Investigate and summarize changes in accounting standards, providing reports on findings for future accounting pronouncements as applicable, including recommended next steps.
- Offer support to other finance teams and the business as needed to address financial matters and inquiries.
- Assist various project leaders in achieving key project milestones.
- Maintain the Blackline tasks module and report on month-end close deliverables.
- Develop custom reports and provide internal reporting to the finance leadership team utilizing various internal systems and automated tools, including SAP, BPC BW, and Blackline.
- Participate in global finance initiatives.
- Projects may include system automation, process enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness, chart of accounts rationalization, and internal reporting development.
- Aid in the formulation of project plans.
- Take a leadership role in managing project milestones and providing timely status updates to project leaders.
- University Degree (preferably in finance/accounting)
- CPA designation (or equivalent) is mandatory
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong collaboration and organizational capabilities
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with accounting ERP systems is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven and eager to take initiative and learn
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment
