At Kraken, we're on a mission to accelerate the global adoption of crypto and blockchain technology. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building the future of crypto, working with a world-class team of Krakenites who share your passion for innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web & mobile applications using ReactJS & React Native
  • Drive the technical vision and direction of the company's Onchain applications by participating in architectural decisions and technology evaluations
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges across multiple domains and technology stacks
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and engineering standards to ensure the highest quality of code
  • Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • ~8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications
  • ~ Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and expertise with ReactJS & React Native frameworks
  • ~ Deep understanding of iOS and Android SDKs, as well as experience with native development (Objective-C/Swift/Java/Kotlin)
  • ~ Hands-on experience in blockchain or web3 applications, familiar with EVM and contract interaction details
  • ~ Experience with API design, security, and performance optimization
  • ~ Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tooling and testing frameworks
  • ~ Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
  • ~ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
