Skilled Concrete Technician

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Vancity Concrete LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.
Key Responsibilities- Concrete Placement: Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade and depth specification.
- Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
- Compaction: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
- Finishing: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, and impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
- Surface Treatment: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
- Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, outdoors, and in wet/damp conditions.
- Work Setting: Commercial, residential, sidewalks and curbs, and various locations.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves.

- Work Terms: Permanent position, 30 to 40 hours per week.
