Job Title: Program Manager, Children and Youth Services

Program: Early Years, Early Childhood Education

Location: Vancouver, Gastown and East Vancouver

Terms: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts: Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, however hours may vary to meet program needs

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 annually (Plus $6 per hour for Licensed ECE's as per the Provincial Government's Wage Enhancement Initiative)

Reports to: Director Operations, Children and Youth Services

Position Summary:

  • Oversee the operations of four Early Years childcare programs and initiatives aimed at promoting the health and well-being of children and families.
  • Provide strategic leadership, foster relationships with stakeholders, and ensure the growth of licensed childcare services.
  • Manage financial planning, donor contributions, and ensure adherence to licensing regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and support staff, cultivate a culture of respect and inclusivity, and collaborate with the management team to advance the YMCA's mission.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in team leadership.
  • A University Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, experience in collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and a valid First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Successful candidates must provide a current Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search.
