Job Summary

As a key member of the Royal Bank of Canada's leadership team, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for exploring and operationalizing big data sources to uncover and communicate product and business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop predictive data models and quantitative analyses to drive business decisions.
  • Oversee the acquisition and ingestion of data from structured and unstructured sources, ensuring quality and comprehensiveness.
  • Lead data exploration and analytic projects, providing coaching on big data topics.
  • Explore and implement semantic data capabilities through NLP, text mining, and machine learning techniques.
Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a high degree of initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of programming in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading from various data sources.
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate multi-tasking skills.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting and visualizations using Tableau or similar products.
  • Exposure to Capital Markets products and businesses.
  • Experience in RBC Finance/Risk's big data projects.
