Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at Smuggler's Cove Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure accurate and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Room Management: Maintain accurate records of room assignments, vacancies, and reservations.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and communicate with guests and staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of hotel supplies and amenities.
  • Special Requests: Assist guests with special requests, such as room changes or amenities.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in initiatives that promote accessibility and inclusion, provide awareness training to employees, and apply accessible recruitment policies.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support social and labor market integration, recruit and mentor newcomers, and provide diversity training.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in youth employment programs, offer mentorship and coaching, and provide awareness training.
  • Support for Veterans: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, provide awareness training, and support veterans in translating their skills.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in initiatives that support Indigenous people, offer mentorship and coaching, and provide cultural competency training.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participate in programs that support mature workers, provide awareness training, and offer mentorship and coaching.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in initiatives that support visible minorities, offer mentorship programs, and provide diversity training.
