Job Title: Storesperson

Job Summary:

The Storesperson plays a critical role in providing logistic and material support to the Main Operating Base. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives, issues, ships, and inspects all material, ensuring safe storage.
  • Conducts Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and waste product disposal for POL and other items.
  • Conducts stocktaking and completes stocktaking evaluation, reports, and data.
  • Sub-contracts with approved vendors and local purchasing.
  • Readies pack-up kits to support aircraft deployments.
  • Maintains Min – Max stock levels to support MOB operations.
  • Inspects tool crib(s), tool boxes, orders, and replaces tools, and calibrates MOB equipment.
  • Prepares material transaction vouchers and logistics documentation.
  • Actions approved amendments to publications, filing, record keeping, and detailed register entries.
  • Operates trucks, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
  • Completes aircraft maintenance documentation for the ERKS, as applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Flys as necessary in support of maintenance, ferry, and deployed operations.
  • Deploys and works at other main operating bases and/or deploys in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
  • Works shift work, as required and/or assigned.
  • Provides on-job-training to other employees, including task supervision.
  • Attends training for trade and professional development and for qualification/certification purposes.
  • Removes debris and maintains a clean, safe work area, conducting FOD inspections.
  • Ensures hangar, shop, stores, and office areas are clean and swept.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of material control and warehousing operations, Stores operations, shelf life, stock taking, shipping, and receiving, HazMat, POL disposal, TDG.
  • Ability to use standard computer systems and specialized computer systems applicable to the Stores operation.
  • Knowledge of ERKS procedures, as it pertains to Stores.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Minimum education level of grade 12 or equivalent and related training and experience in material control warehousing.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in material control and warehousing operations is required.
