About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to a high standard.
    • Portion and wrap foods for customers.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
  • Inventory Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas to maintain a high level of hygiene.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced environment that requires standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines. You will be required to walk, bend, crouch, and kneel as part of your daily duties.
