Meat Department Clerk

About the Role:
The Meat Clerk is a key member of our retail team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures to maintain a clean and safe shopping environment.
- Order, receive, and merchandise meat products in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Provide superior customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products and engaging with customers to understand their needs.
- Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Prepare customer meat orders and process department shrink as required.
- Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and complete physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.
