Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Consultant to assist our client in the migration of their on-premises Oracle ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials and Microsoft Project Operations. This role requires expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation of D365 solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure the new ERP system meets the organization's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed functional and technical requirements for the migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and onboarding to Microsoft Project Operations.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand current business processes and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for the IT development team.
  • Capture and document nonfunctional requirements, including security, performance, and usability.

Solution Design

  • Work closely with Solution Architects to help design end-to-end solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials and Microsoft Project Operations that meet business requirements.
  • Capture and document technical requirements, including system configurations, integrations, and customizations.
  • Ensure that the proposed solutions align with industry best practices and organizational goals.

Provide input into the creation of the migration plan, including data migration and validation strategies.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Review technical testing plans, including system integration testing, performance testing, and security testing.
  • Work closely with QA teams to ensure the overall quality and reliability of the new system.

Post-Migration Support

  • Provide post-go-live technical support to ensure the stability of the newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve any technical issues that arise after the migration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT consulting with a focus on ERP systems, particularly Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, solution design, and system architecture.
  • Proven experience in migrating ERP systems, particularly from Oracle or other ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with system configuration, customization, and integration within D365.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial and project management processes.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 are a plus.
