About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Capital Program Planner to promote the integrity of its building architectural infrastructure. This role will involve strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of the Capital Programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's health services plans and departmental objectives.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and significant planning experience, preferably in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in architectural systems assessment, planning, design, and specification development, as well as 6+ years of experience in capital program development and implementation. Strong knowledge of the Building Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental regulations, and ASHRAE standards is required. The ability to prioritize and address customer concerns while maintaining adherence to standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align planning efforts with NSH Health Services plans and departmental objectives
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate the three NSH Capital Programs: Repair & Renewal, Capital Medical Equipment, and Clinical Capital
  • Coordinate among peers and management to contribute to the planning and implementation of the three NSH Capital Programs
  • Preliminary assessment of requirements for Major Capital program projects
  • Coordination with Major Capital Program initiatives of other Departments in support of NSH
