About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at D&R Custom Steel Inc. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Staff Consultation and Grievance Procedures
  • Coordinate HR Department Activities
  • Plan, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate HR Policies and Programs
  • Review HR Projects for Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  • Train Staff
  • Advise Managers and Employees on HR Policies and Procedures
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Procedures
  • Mediate Labour Disputes and Grievances
  • Oversee Classification and Rating of Occupations
  • Plan, Develop, and Implement Recruitment Strategies
  • Research and Prepare Occupational Classifications, Job Descriptions, and Salary Scales
  • Administer Benefit Employment Equity and Other HR Programs
  • Manage Contracts
  • Coordinate Employee Performance and Appraisal Programs
  • Manage Training and Development Strategies
  • Oversee Analysis of Employee Data and Information
  • Research Employee Benefits and Health and Safety Practices
  • Oversee Development of Communication Strategies
  • Oversee Preparation of Reports
  • Advise Senior Management
  • Respond to Employee Questions and Complaints
  • Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff
  • Liaise with Management, Union Officials, and HR Consultants
  • Organize Staff Consultation and Grievance Procedures
  • Oversee Payroll Administration
  • Recruit and Hire Staff
  • Manage Knowledge

  • Propose Improvements to Methods, Systems, and Procedures
