Job Description

Compensation: Competitive Salary Range

As the Business Operations Leader, you will spearhead and oversee all operational activities at the Profit Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to drive business growth while ensuring sustained profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing objectives through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management of the Profit Centre Team.
  • Identify potential customer accounts, set sales targets for those accounts, and ensure the sales team meets these objectives.
  • Review financial reports and data; devise and implement strategies to enhance sales and margins, boost productivity, and manage assets and expenses effectively.
  • Foster community relationships to gain insights into the marketplace, expand market share, and discover new opportunities.
  • Ensure the Profit Centre consistently meets or surpasses customer service expectations.
  • Oversee all marketing initiatives and purchasing agreements.
  • Adhere to safety regulations at all customer sites and within the Profit Centre.
  • Protect and maintain all Profit Centre assets, including buildings, vehicles, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager or President.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (College or University degree).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in wholesale distribution.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to integrity.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make informed business decisions.
  • Ability to cultivate a positive team atmosphere, motivating all team members to excel and achieve high levels of customer and team satisfaction.
  • Desire to pursue operational excellence.
  • Understanding of purchasing and inventory management processes.
  • Capability to learn and utilize the relevant software systems for order processing.
  • Ability to learn to operate material handling equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience or knowledge of plumbing and building products.
  • Familiarity with the construction sector.
  • Experience with Trend and Eclipse software.
