Position Overview

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in the metal product fabrication industry, where precision and attention to detail are paramount.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Work Environment

The work site is characterized by:

  • Dusty conditions
  • Noisy atmosphere
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting products for accuracy in shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Shaping and forming metal stock into parts or products through cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, and welding
  • Documenting completed work accurately
  • Identifying and resolving minor issues or repairs
  • Setting up and operating various light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Transporting materials to the work area, either manually or using cranes
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
Certifications and Skills

Required certifications include:

  • Forklift Operator Certification

Experience with the following equipment is essential:

  • Brakes
  • Lifting devices
  • Overhead cranes
  • CNC machines
Physical Requirements

Candidates must possess:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Willingness to engage in repetitive tasks
  • Endurance to stand for extended periods
Weight Handling

Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
